Vito Picone and The Elegants are an American doo-wop group from Staten Island, New York. They are best known for their 1958 hit single "Little Star," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The group was formed in 1956 and was composed of Vito Picone, Arthur Venosa, Frank Tardo, Carmen Romano, and Jim Mochella. Their distinctive sound was characterized by Vito's high tenor voice and their use of falsetto harmonies. The Elegants continued to perform into the 21st century and were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2003.
